Audience

This event is suitable for professionals from all agencies and disciplines who work with “adults at risk”. Two identical sessions are being offered (morning OR afternoon). Please choose just one.

Aim

The aim of this CPD is an introduction to the Self Capacity and Determination Law (Jersey) 2017 and information on Korsakoffs Syndrome and other alcohol related brain disorders.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the seminar participants should be able to:

  • Describe the new Self Capacity and Determination Law (Jersey) 2017
  • Describe Korsakoffs Syndrome related to capacity assessment
  • Describe other alcohol related brain disorders

Venue, Parking & Refreshments

St Helier Town Hall is located in the heart of St Helier, along York Street.

The nearest car parks are at Patriotic Street or The Esplanade. Alternatively the Town Hall is a short walk from Liberation Station bus station.

There are a number of sandwich takeaways and cafes within a short walk or bring a packed lunch which can be eaten on the premises. Tea and coffee will be provided free of charge.
