Audience
This course is suitable for Designated Safeguarding Leads and those who have a safeguarding lead role in any organisation, eg: designated safeguarding lead in a school, safeguarding lead GP, social worker, care manager, Independent Domestic Violence Advisors, named doctor or nurse, police public protection unit, any staff undertaking adult safeguarding enquires/assessments etc..
Aim
To enable safeguarding leads working with children and/or adults at risk to understand how their role contributes to their organisation being ‘safer’.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course the participants should be able to:
- Describe the attributes of a safer organisation
- Describe the role and responsibilities of the Designated Safeguarding Lead within an organisation
- Identify safer recruitment practices
