Audience
This is suitable for anyone who works directly with children and adults at risk to provide common core skills and knowledge. It would suit staff who are required to make decisions about children and adults at risk and need to ensure their decisions are legal, ethical and rights-based
Aim
To ensure that those working with children or adults at risk use a basic understanding of legislation in Jersey to make better safeguarding decisions.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course the participants should be able to:
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of the legislation relevant to your practice.
- Be able to connect relevant legal rules with professional priorities and safeguarding practice.
- Understand the principles of human rights, equality and social justice.
