Audience

This course is one of four that are suitable for Designated Leads and those who have a safeguarding lead role in any organisation, eg: designated safeguarding lead in a school, safeguarding lead GP, social worker, care manager, Independent Violence Advisors, named doctor or nurse, police public protection unit, any staff undertaking adult safeguarding enquiries/assessments. It is also suitable for those who have specific responsibility for managing allegations of abuse against members of staff or volunteers. The other courses are: Professional Differences; DSL role in Safer Organisations; and Why is Supervision an Essential Part of Safeguarding. 

Aim

To enable professionals who are responsible for managing allegations of abuse against staff or volunteers to use the Managing Allegations Framework (Adult Workforce)

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course the participants should be able to:

  • Explain the steps to take when an allegation of abuse is made against a member of staff using the Managing Allegations Framework (Adult Workforce)
