This course is suitable for managers who are responsible for staff who work with and care for children and / or adults at risk.
To provide an introduction to the SPB Policy Principles of Safeguarding Supervision.
By the end of this course delegates will be able to:
- Define Safeguarding Supervision and it’s key functions
- Explain why safeguarding supervision is necessary within your organisation in particular relation to learning from Serious Case Reviews (SCRs)
- Outline the principles of Safeguarding Supervision and the responsibilities of the supervisee, supervisor, the organisation and the Safeguarding Partnership Board
- Use the tools provided within the SPB Safeguarding Supervision Policy Statement (2016) to assist the introduction or ongoing management of safeguarding supervision within your organisation
Venue, Parking & Refreshments
Beresford House does not have disability access; however, training courses can be provided at alternative venues, should this be a problem please clarify any particular access requirements with the Safeguarding team.
Beresford House is located at the end of Bellozanne Road, at the junction of St Andrews Road and La Route es Nouaux.
Public car-parking facilities (scratch card) are available at the Jardin de Soleil. There is also parking along Victoria Avenue. There is no car-parking available at Beresford House – sorry.
