Online training
We have a small number of training courses or resources that are available online through the following providers:
Foundation training
Foundation training through the Care Academy service will cease on 31st July 2024. A replacement online platform is currently being developed but is not yet ready to launch. A link to this new training will published on this page as soon as it becomes available.
During this period of transition, the SPB will be running a number of in person sessions for those that need to complete this training. You can find dates and sign up through our online booking system below.
If you are a Government of Jersey employee, you can access a range of training via Virtual College. Speak to your Line Manager about which training is available and/or mandatory for you.
If you work or volunteer for another organisation, you can access free training on:
You will be sent a welcome email inviting you to register. Once you have registered, you can then sign up to the course.

Research in Practice (RIP) is a free resource with webinars, videos and publications. You can download all these resources via your RIP account.
You will need to have a RIP account for our in-person courses as well, as we use many of the resources in our training materials.
