Online training

We have a small number of training courses or resources that are available online through the following providers:

We have worked with the Care Academy to put our Foundation courses for Safeguarding Children and Safeguarding Adults at Risk online. Both of these courses are free and you will get an SPB certificate on successful completion. To register for a new account and complete the online training, please contact [email protected]

If you are a Government of Jersey employee, you can access a range of training via Virtual College. Speak to your Line Manager about which training is available and/or mandatory for you.

If you work or volunteer for another organisation, you can access free training on:

You will be sent a welcome email inviting you to register. Once you have registered, you can then sign up to the course.

Research in Practice (RIP) is a free resource with webinars, videos and publications. You can download all these resources via your RIP account.

You will need to have a RIP account for our in-person courses as well, as we use many of the resources in our training materials.

RIP’s Learning Pathways  have resources to watch, read or listen to and opportunities to record your reflections as a CPD record. Pathways are flexible and you can return to each resource in your own time. You will need to log in to your RIP account to access the pathways.

RIP’s reading lists will signpost you to further learning including podcasts, quick reads and practice tools.
